We have a couple of options for acquiring student materials for co-op or classroom use.
Option 1: Student materials may be licensed for copying at a flat rate per book, per class of up to 30 students, per year. Click here to see the licensing fee for each product. Books We Sell A License For
For example, if you have a classroom of 25 students, and you use the Student Pages from The Story of the World, Volume 1, you would pay the license fee for that book. That gives you the right to copy the relevant pages for each student in that year’s class. If you have two classes 25 students each, you would purchase two licenses. If you have one class of 25 students, but you license two books, the Student Pages and the Written Comprehension Questions, then, you purchase two licenses.

If you choose this option, call us to pay by credit card or simply mail us a check. Please include with your check the name of the item(s) you wish to license, as well as the name and address of the co-op or school. We will mail you an invoice.
If you choose Option 1, the license permits copying the student materials for the students in the licensed classroom(s); the license must be renewed each year for each book, each class of up to 30 students.
Option 2: You can buy the looseleaf or PDF Student Pages for each student. This is usually a better option for classes of 12 or fewer students. You will find current pricing for comparable products on our website, and you can make these purchases online: The Well-Trained Mind Store
If you choose Option 2 to purchase the student materials, each family can make as many copies of the Student Pages (or other materials) for use by their own family without infringing copyright. For example, if you purchase Student Pages for Abby Jones, her family can make a copy of the workbook for her younger brother, Sam Jones, which he can use when it is his turn, without infringing copyright. But the Jones family can't make a copy for Sam's best pal, Fred Smith--that would be copyright infringement.
We've priced the student materials so they are as accessible as possible to those who need them. We ask that you purchase a copy for each child in your co-op or school or purchase a license to copy this material for a larger classroom setting.
