We offer the following products in Grammar for the Well-Trained Mind, with licenses available for the student workbooks. There are four cycles (colors) of Student Books. Currently, we have Red and Purple, with Blue coming in the second half of 2019 and Yellow to follow later.
All of the products are available through The Well-Trained Mind Store.
These are the products you buy from our store: First, two optional reference books per classroom, or more if you want them available for student use. The Grammar Guidebook can be used by teachers or students as a lifetime grammar guide. The Diagramming Dictionary can be used by teachers or students as a power-assist for diagramming instruction.
Core Instructor Text Years 1-4: This is the instructor text for all four years ("colors") of instruction. The teaching material is the same for each color of student workbook; the student material differs in each book to provide variety over 4 cycles of practice.
Answer Key for Student Workbook: There is a key for each "color" of workbook. Each color represents a year's worth of instruction; you can use the colors in any order.
The Student Workbook can be purchased from our web store in paperback, or you can purchase a license to reproduce the student pages from a PDF you buy from the web store. Each student needs a workbook.
In some situations, licensing is more cost-effective or easier for a school or co-op to administer. In general, with fewer than 12 students, it is more cost-effective to purchase the paperback books from our store. The license is per class (up to 30 students per class), per book, per year. The license fee is kept current on this spreadsheet. Books We Sell a License For.
If you choose to purchase a license, you can call us to pay by credit card or mail a check to us. Our contact information is located beneath my signature. Please include on your check the curriculum name and the name of the co-op or school, so we can mail you an invoice. Licensing is more fully explained in this article: I would like to license student materials for classroom use.
Another route that works for some schools: each family purchases the student workbook for their student. This means they can purchase paperback or PDF and that they can use the book again for students from their own family without infringing copyright.
