We license the right to reproduce both the Instructor Guide and Student Pages for Telling God’s Story.
This article in our Help Center tells you about our copyright, and describes both purchase and licensing options so you can use the curriculum in your classroom.
For all other curriculum, we sell licenses so you can reproduce only the consumable student materials. It's a bit different for Telling God's Story (TGS). To accommodate the difference in the way the materials are structured and the classroom situations in which they are used, we license both the instructor and student materials.
- TGS is often used in situations involving multiple volunteer teachers and non-mandatory (fluctuating) student attendance. Our TGS license reflects that reality.
- The curriculum's structure results in a per-teacher cost of $40. By adapting the license to the curriculum's use and structure, we cut that cost in half.
License Fees for Telling God's Story
The licensing options are described in this FAQ article, which also contains a link to the price list.
To use TGS in your classroom(s), you need the following licenses.
- Each teacher needs a license for the Instructor Text and Teaching Guide, and the Student Guide and Activity Pages.
- Each student needs a license for the Student Pages. We understand fluctuating attendance; make a fair estimate of the average number of attendees, and if you see a 10% increase, update the payment mid-year.
Purchase the source material (PDFs of each title) from our website, which often has the products on sale or discounted in some way. If you purchase the source PDFs on a PO, use the retail price.
As long as each teacher is licensed, a Lead Teacher or Director of Children's Education can distribute materials for the week or month to each teacher, in printed or electronic form. This is often a boon to a geographically dispersed volunteer organization. Each teacher can prepare for the week or month ahead. Student materials can be sent via mail or email to any licensed (present or absent) student.
