Many families have moved toward home-based education to provide their children with a good education because they don't want learning challenges to be limitations. Well-Trained Mind Press offers some scaffolding to help you and your student use our curriculum.
Our website has a few articles by Susan Wise Bauer and staff members to help you teach your student with Well-Trained Mind materials and in a classical manner.

The Well-Trained Mind, 4th Edition includes many recommendations for curriculum from other vendors. When the curriculum is especially well-suited for students with learning challenges, that is noted in the recommendation.
The Learning Challenges Board at Well-Trained Mind Community Forums is an active, knowledgeable homeschool community. You might find advice or exchange ideas with experienced homeschoolers who have faced similar challenges. You need to set up a forum account (username, email address) to ask questions, but you can read the forums as a guest.
Well-Trained Mind Press customer service staff will do what we can to help, but we can speak only from personal experience; none of us is a specialist in educating students with disabilities.
If you would like to make suggestions for how we can improve our student materials to make them more accessible, please send your suggestions to support@welltrainedmind.com.
