The Story of the World, our elementary and intermediate history curriculum, is secular and does not promote any particular religion.
Religious beliefs and stories are part of history, and are discussed as part of world history, usually like this: “Here is what the _____ people believed about ______,” or “Here is a story that the _____ told about their gods.”
The Story of the World includes information about many world religions, to show the beliefs of different peoples. The Story of the World, Vol. 1: The Ancients, begins with the first nomads.
