To use The Story of the World in a classroom setting, choose among the following books for the appropriate Volume (1-4):
The Story of the World text, one per student unless the teacher is reading aloud;
The Story of the World Activity Book, one per teacher, paperback or PDF;
The Story of the World Student Pages, one per student, paperback or PDF. If you want to license the right to distribute the Student Pages within your classroom, purchase the PDF and a license.
These first three are the core of the curriculum. You might also want to purchase:
The Story of the World Audiobook, one per classroom. If you plan to play the audiobook for the whole classroom, purchase the MP3 or CD and a license.
The Review Questions Worksheets*. These can save you some work if you ask your students to write their responses to the Review Questions in the Activity Book. Purchase one PDF per student or license the right to reproduce the pages for your students. These are appropriate for grades 4 and up. (*Formerly called the Written Comprehension Questions.)
The Test and Answer Key, one per teacher. To use the tests in a classroom, purchase one paperback or PDF per student or purchase the PDF and a license to reproduce the Tests for the students. These are appropriate for grades 4 and up.
